I was able to duplicate it, although only on
http://www.google.co.jp/ig?hl=ja the
iGoogle sites for US users does not have the problem. Here is what I did:
1. Run 2.0.165.0 (Developer Build 10015)
2. Open http://www.google.co.jp/ig or http://www.google.co.kr/ig
3. Type "goo"
4. Wait for suggestions to appear
5. Hit the down cursor key
Expected:
Focus moves to the first suggestion
Actual:
Nothing happens
6. Hit the up cursor key
Expected:
Nothing, selection is not on a suggestion
Actual
Cursor moves to the far left within the search box (i.e. Home)
It turns out that we have this problem on the Korean site as well but not
the Chinese
site (http://www.google.cn/ig/china) or the arabic site
(http://www.google.com/intl/ar/) which suggests that this is a problem with
the site
and not our handling of the language/cursor combination.
We will look into this but it is possible that what we really need to do is
open a
bug with the iGoogle team.
