Preliminary investigation still points to blocked stdio somehow.
I put in more diagnostic information locally (i.e., on the Purify layout
bot itself),
then ran about 150 tests locally in batches of 5 to 20, but couldn't repro
the
failure. Tried starting it back up to see what happens on the bot.
