Retitling this bug to hopefully cut down on misunderstandings.
The corner case is this:
- you're downloading a file without an extension
- the content-type of the file specifies its format
Do we want an extension on the downloaded file?
It's much more important on Windows (where extensions are meaningful) than
it is on
Linux (where they are advisory).
