Comment #5 on issue 7726 by jposkey: 100% system usage with latest Chrome - never problem previous, multiple systems/OS. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=7726
I solved the problem on my machine. Cleared the cache, and things are fine. I was even able to turn back on the options for Phishing and malware protection and DNS pre-fetching. Specifically, I went to Wrench --> Clear Browsing Data. I clicked the first 3: browsing history, download history, and empty the cache. The first time I tried (when CPU usage was at 100%) I let it run for 12 hours and it never finished. But I rebooted and started Chrome. Then I ran this BEFORE telling it to restore my previous tabs, and it worked fine. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
