Comment #6 on issue 736 by dtfinch: No way to disable plugins using UI http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=736
Can this be marked as security related so it gets higher priority? Because it is. Plugins I've gone out of my way to disable in all my other browsers (short of uninstalling them altogether, breaking any local apps that may depend on them) are still enabled in Chrome, exposing me to serious risk. It's easy to keep two plugins (Flash & Java) up to date. It's near impossible to keep 20-30 plugins up to date on Windows. If one is vulnerable, and you can bet at least one probably is, then Chrome is vulnerable. Maybe have enabled/disabled be a tristate, like enable/disable/prompt, with prompt being the default for new plugins, with a checkbox to remember their choice. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
