What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to your gmail mailbox

What is the expected result?
Checkbox should be displayed left of the message
What happens instead?
Checkbox not displayed (see attached file)
Bringing up another application and then returning to Chrome sometimes
would cause the checkbox to appear
Clicking on where checkbox should be causes a yellow square to appear and
the message to be selected
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
