Here's the actual scenario:

0. Have tmp pointing to a different volume.
1. Install 2.0.169.1
2. Uninstall 2.0.169.1 (this leaves 2.0.169.1 dir in application dir)
3. Install 1.0.154.48
4. Try to update to 2.0.169.1
