In response to pixelman (comment 113), I prefer the current implementation: clicking MMB starts the autoscrolling mode, and a second MMB click or left MB click releases it. This is how it works in IE7 as well. It's a more effortless way of scanning through a long page. No need to keep pushing the MMB while comfortably reading the page. I do find that the Chrome version scrolls too fast even on the slowest setting - I can't read that fast.
