New issue 8918 by hpram99: Inspector erroneously shows and renders
property "overflow:hidden" which hides entire table
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=8918
Chrome Version : 2.0.169.1 & 2.0.170.0
URLs (if applicable) : Private
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 3: N/A
Firefox 3: N/A
IE 7: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
I had submitted a bug through chrome's built-in reporter, thought I should
mention it in the correct area. We use an internal
ticketing system that has worked on chrome until 2.0.169.1. Now tickets
(large tables) show up as blank black pages. The
Inspector shows the property "overflow:hidden" simply unchecking this
property makes the page appear like normal. I checked
the source and this property is set to "overflow: auto"
What is the expected result?
Page should be rendered normally
What happens instead?
Page is rendered entirely hidden, although it is scrollable and Ctrl-A,
Ctrl-C copies the hidden text
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
