Comment #1 on issue 8957 by [email protected]: Consider using more green in EV SSL UI http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=8957
I don't really care that much about the green bar. The green bar is like the lock - it says you're connected to some website, the identity of that website has been verified (you're connected to the domain name you think you're connected to), and that's about it. The important thing for EV is identity. I would like the focus to be more on drawing the user's attention to *whom* they are communicating with, rather than the mere fact that they *are* communicating. As such, I kinda dislike the direction of IE with the whole bar being green. The direction FF takes with making green behind the the Organization name displayed is interesting, and I would be supportive of something in that direction. (obviously it would have to fit / look good within our UI) -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
