Comment #1 on issue 8614 by jjnhendriks: Regression v 2.0.169.0: Salesforce customized button does not function anymore http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=8614
Still the same issue with Chrome 2.0.170.0 I think (seeing the screenshot SalesForceChromeissue.JPG that this is related to the issue "Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL https://na2.salesforce.com/blablabla from frame with URL https://apps.esker.com/blablabla ". However the initial application SalesForce is running on na2.salesForce.com our customized button updates our own (trusted) server https://apps.esker.com/ (More information about customized buttons in SalesForce : https://na2.salesforce.com/help/doc/user_ed.jsp? section=help&loc=help&target=defining_custom_links.htm). You might need to have a salesforce account to access this URL, so I attached it as a Defining Custom Buttons and Links.doc . So I think that Chrome needs to get something like a whitelist of trusted (intranet) sites to make this work and get over the security issue. I do have the impression that the issue occurs since the NLM authentication does work for intranet (Sharepoint) Case ID19 (http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail? id=19). Hope this helps with the research.
