Carlos can probably comment better on this. But, as I understand it, this
actually
is working as intended. We currently don't allow a user to over install w/
a lesser
version (for fear of corruption issues I assume). Agreed, that a pop-up
notifying of
the issue might be warranted, however I believe the choice of a completely
silent
install was a specific design decision related to the auto-updater.
