Why are we even discussing this? It's obvious that there are a lot of people who want to be asked for confirmation when closing a browser that has multiple tabs open, and a lot of people that don't. Neither side is going to convince the other side that their way is "right". That's why it should be an option. I don't really care which way the option defaults. The people who want the behavior to be different will search down the option.
