New issue 9220 by [email protected]: Chrome freezes when resuming laptop
from hibernation
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9220
Chrome Version : 2.0.170.0

Other browsers tested:

Firefox 3.x:
IE 7:
IE 8:
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. put the laptop into hibernation at night
2. resume from hibernation in the morning
3. existing tabs in Chrome are frozen
What is the expected result?
When resuming the laptop from hibernation, I should be able to use the
existing Chrome tabs/windows.
What happens instead?
Very frequently the tabs are frozen. I can see the content that was loaded
before hibernation but it's not active, not possible to click on links. The
only solution is to restart Chrome
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Operating system: XP SP3 on a dual core Dell laptop, 2 GB RAM
The issue does not happen all the times but it happens very frequently. It
was already happening on previous builds (e.g. 2.0.168.0 and before)
More details about the behavior:
- after resuming the laptop from hibernation and switching to Chrome, all
tabs appear frozen
- the content that was displayed before hibernation is still displayed and
I can move between tabs
- clicking on the reload button of an existing tab has no impact, nothing
happens
- links in web pages are not active
- entering a new URL in an existing tab and pressing enter has no impact (I
can enter the URL but nothing is being loaded, nothing moves)
- creating a new tab is possible but entering a new URL has no impact (I
can enter the URL but nothing moves, nothing is being loaded)
The only solution is to stop Chrome and restart it.
