New issue 9243 by [email protected]: "Back" command does not always
reposition previous screen at its previous position
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9243
Chrome Version : <Copy from: 'about:version'>
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4:
Firefox 3.x:
IE 7:
IE 8:
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Randomly select "back" function.
2. Fails about once every 30-50 times I use the back command.
3.
What is the expected result?
Previous page is displayed, and scrolled to its previous position.
What happens instead?
Occassionly, and randomly, previous page is displayed at its top, instead
of its previously scrolled position.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Craigslist.com is where I notice this happening. IE never failed like
this. To recreate, go to Craigslist, display one or two pages of entries,
and sequentially select each entry in the lists. When you hit "back",
occassionally you will not go back to where you had previously scrolled,
but instead you go back to the top of the previous page, and you must
scroll down to the last entry on that page that you previously clicked.
