Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 9252 by earonesty: google chrome does not allow certificate exceptions http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9252
Chrome Version : 1.0.154.53 URLs (if applicable) : https://192.168.1.44 Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 4: Firefox 3.x: OK IE 7: OK IE 8: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Browse to any https:// website where the cert doesn't match the site 2. Chrome puts up a big warning as it should 3. Chrome fails to allow you to add a permanent exception .... fail. In IE, you can add sites to "lower security levels" that don't verify certs. Firefox does the right thing, which is link the cert to the host name and only trust that combo as an exception... it's minimal and satisfies the need. What is the expected result? What happens instead? Please provide any additional information below.
