I tried downloading Knoppix DVD (4 GB) with Chrome 2.0.171.0 and it
started. It was
downloading, I verified it by looking at increasing file size in download
folder.
But I noticed that the UI only tells you something like "2 days ETA" and
you don't
immediately see that something is really downloading.
Can you provide more info? Are you able to download that large file and
just don't
see enough indication in the interface, or is it some more serious problem?

also include your Chrome version number in the report.
