I installed Chrome first, then Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and then Adobe Reader 9.
While
installing Adobe Reader 9, it asked which plugin should be used(Acrobat 9
or Reader
9) and I opted for Acrobat 9. After this is done, Chrome opens pdf using
Acrobat 9.
To make sure, here is what I did.
I went into Acrobat Reader > Edit > Preferences > Internet and unchecked
the option
to display pdf's in browser
Now I opened a pdf in Chrome and it launched Acrobat 9 to open the pdf.
I'm not sure what's different on your machine. Could you please give us
more info
right from installing the softwares, like what you installed first and so
forth?
