New issue 9522 by theodorejb: No page loading progress (regression)
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9522

Chrome Version : 2.0.172.0 (12720)
URLs (if applicable) : new tab page
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 4:
   Firefox 3.x:
          IE 7:
          IE 8:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the new tab page
2. Left click one of the page thumbnails on it
3. Look at the tab the page is loading in.

What is the expected result?
Tab should immediately show spinner and name of the page.

What happens instead?
No spinner spinning to the left and it still says "New Tab"

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
In the screenshot, I've just clicked the thumbnail in the upper left
corner. The only hint that it's loading is the "Resolving Host" in the
status area at the bottom left of the browser. It doesn't show the spinner
or the name of the page in the tab until the page is almost done loading.

This works in the stable build - the spinner immediately spins to the left
when you click a page and then spins to the right as it loads it.
Current build shows the proper behavior when you right click one of the new
tab page thumbnails and select "open in new tab".
