I just tested this with both 2.0.171.0 & the latest development build from
the source tree.
In both versions auto-directionality appeared to work fine.
Here's how I tested:
1. Navigated to google.co.il.
2. Typed 'a'
3. Saw that the search box was auto-aligned to the left.
Could you test again and see if you can still see this behavior?
