Comment #4 on issue 9192 by c.jordan84: Checkbox 2.0.170.0
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9192
Running 2.0.169.1 in Windows XP SP2, dual monitor setup:
With no browsers running, started Chrome on right-hand monitor, went to
Gmail login
page. No check box on Gmail login page ("remember me") or in inbox for
selecting
emails. Started IE7 on left monitor, but did not browse with it. In
Chrome, I
created a new tab, then switched back to the one for Gmail. The check box
on the
login page now appears.
Closed both browsers. Reopened Chrome, browsed to Gmail, check box gone
again.
Opened Firefox in left window, but didn't browse. Opened new tab in chrome
and
switched back to Gmail tab, checkbox now appears.
If I had to guess, I'd say the form elements aren't rendering correctly
when Chromium
starts up and won't render until another browser loads them. I would have
to do more
testing to determine the root cause of this issue, but I have been able to
successfully duplicate this bug several times; it seems that as if you are
experiencing this issue, all you need to do is open either IE or Firefox
and the
checkboxes will reappear and be fully usable.
Can anyone confirm this?
