What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. go to http://www.google.com
2. in the address bar, double-click the "google" part
3. "google." will be highlighted
4. type "foobar" on keyboard
What is the expected result?
address bar should read "http://www.foobarcom"
What happens instead?
"http://www.foobar.com"
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
the behavior of all other popular browsers is to not highlight the "." in
"google." to begin with (see step 3 above). but if "google." is highlighted
visually, typing should overwrite that entire selected string.
