I think this is a usability issue more than a security issue. The old
version might
get flagged as a security risk, but it's really low risk.
We cannot guarantee that the old version won't be around when the new
version
launches (as long as we do in-place upgrades), so there's always the chance
that
programs like Secunia will still complain even though Chrome won't be using
the old
DLLs.
Given that we cannot guarantee that we can avoid such dialogs, I think we
should
stick witht the current system and clean up on next update.
