I have the same issue . . . on google.com My Firefox 2.0.0.20 browser saves my preferences (no filtering, no suggestions, 20 results per page) and I have not had to reset or edit them at any point. My Google Chrome browser forgets any and all changes to those preferences that I make the moment I finish closing out of a browser window (not a single tab, but the whole window). It's very aggravating and I would really like to see it fixed.
