Bookmark search used to happen asynchronously during the "slow" history
pass. sky
changed that a year-ish ago. Maybe we should just punt it back to that
pass? I don't
think we should disable it entirely, even as a stopgap, but we need to
figure out a way
to have it not block the UI, and still try to get things fast.
I suspect if you have lots of bookmarks, a number of things slow down,
including
startup. Perhaps we can figure out how to load only some data into memory,
or store
these differently, or _something_. sky, let's chat in person next week.
