I'm suffering this problem under Windows 7 (7077). I've tried all suggestions here and at http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=111996 + http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=19416bc3999b1871&hl=en as well as a few blog posts about it.
