New issue 15075 by douglips: Open PDF file in new tab results in blank zombie tab that can't be killed http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=15075 Chrome Version : 3.0.189.0-r18569 OS + version : ubuntu/hardy heron CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): amd64 window manager : GNOME URLs (if applicable) : any Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): n/a Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): unknown What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open a PDF email attachment in a new tab 2. The tab stays at about:blank and the PDF file is downloaded and opened in your PDF viewer (expected behavior, same as firefox) 3. Now, however, notice that you can't close the blank tab. You also can't close the window containing the tab, and you can't exit chrome. Since there is no task manager on chrome-linux yet, I don't know if that would solve the problem. What is the expected result? The blank tab should be killable like any other tab. What happens instead? The tab shuffles forth from the nameless depths, a roiling horror that none dare look upon. Er, it just stays there forever. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and backtrace if possible. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
