This seems to me like two issues:
1. Safari4 is not registering the onClick event for selects. We should
upstream this.
2. Chrome is registering the selectedIndex incorrectly when the onClick
event fires.
This may be because of the Webkit issue in #1.
Ekaterina, can you take a look at this? It might be a potential V8
bindings issue.
