New issue 16547 by [email protected]: Closing the last open tab terminates the browser. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16547 Chrome Version : All (but right now 20374) OS + version : Arch Linux CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 32-bit window manager : Openbox URLs (if applicable) : NA Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): NA Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): NA What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Close the last (single) open tab. What is the expected result? The browser should still show an open tab with the homepage being displayed, just as if a new tab was opened. What happens instead? The browser exits and shuts down. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and backtrace if possible. This is (probably) not a bug and should probably be on a wish list instead but... I find it quite annoying that the browser exits when the last open tab is closed. It would be much more convenient if you were able to close it and have the default homepage show instead, ie most visited site or whatever you choose. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
