The instructions given for reproducing the bug no longer work; the Crash
log file -
instructions no longer has 14 steps; it now has 5.
Enclosed is a reduction. Note the difference in Firefox behavior vs. Safari
behavior: in Firefox, the entire filename (sample.txt) is shown in the save
dialog,
and the extension can be changed and is honored. In Safari, the entire
filename is
also shown, but if the filename is chnaged to sample.reg, a dialog is shown:
Save Plain Text
The name "sample.reg" appears to have an extension. Do you want to
append ".txt" to
the name?
Cancel Don't append Append
