New issue 17762 by nitin.bharathy: Active buttons or regions from windows
in the background get activated - Critical, and affects usability.
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=17762
Chrome Version : 2.0.172.37
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Firefox 3.x: OK
IE 7: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a program - say Word or Google Talk
2. Open Chrome (so that other programs are still active and below it) and
use it.
3. Often, on mouseover, certain buttons/regions from the background window
get activated.
What is the expected result?
No matter what, buttons or other regions from windows below Chrome should
not get activated, since Chrome is the window on top.
What happens instead?
Certain buttons/regions from windows in background/below Chrome get
activated. Sometimes, if I click (within chrome), the window below comes up
to the top. This is a very crippling bug - affecting the usability of
Chrome. Screenshots attached (DOC).
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
