now i can confirm this is a mess in chrome 3.0.196.0 (Developer Build
21946) too
this is Chrome specific and a regression from the stable channel.
Chrome 2.0.172.37 (stable channel): OK
Chrome 3.0.193.2 (beta channel): FAIL
Safari4 (latest webkit) nightly: OK
IE8: OK
FF: OK
Opera: OK
