Comment #25 on issue 16705 by stephen.c.anderson: User Data Grows Too Large (~2GB) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16705
@brettw: Thank you for suggesting a manual vaccum. Some files only saved a little (~20MB) but some files were almost truncated to nothing (36kB). I vacuumed every file and about 580MB of space was removed from "Histroy*" files! I vacuumed the Thumbnails and saved another 50MB. Perhaps Chrome should use the auto_vacuum pragma? The remaining history files still consume a largish 290MB, but that's worlds better than the previous 800MB. @rvargas: Thank you for your work on issue 16740. With it fixed in the most recent dev build, my cache folder is down to ~400MB. That's a nice improvement over my original 700MB. Thank you! It could be my imagination, but startup and (especially) shutdown seem _much_ quicker. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
