Same rationale for closing as issue 7598.
There are a number of behaviors we have in place to help support the use
case
mentioned in the original report. Notably, the common case of opening a
tab with a
"related site" is via some kind of link; middle- and ctrl-clicking links on
a site
therefore open a tab next to the current one.
When a user wants to open other sites and group them with the current tab
in a more
heavyweight task, we support both reordering within the strip (which is
low-enough
effort that it's a "good enough" fix here) and dragging out to a new window
(what I
think is the cleanest approach to this kind of thing, as then the task can
be moved,
focused and closed as a single unit).
We do also have Duplicate Tab, but it's not as useful (IMO) for the use case
mentioned at the start. The original use case would be better served by a
new tab
than a duplicated tab.
