I do think the Youtube logo is an issue: Firefox 3.5.2 does actually behave as expected, opening the homepage in a new tab, though it's true that IE 7 and 8 fail. I don't have Opera and Safari, so I can't confirm the problem with them. I've opened issue 18814 about it. About the other bug: now I see what you mean, let me summarize. There are 3 issues: 1) With Chrome 2.x, middle-clicking on the [5] note from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat always brings the current tab there, while in the current dev versions (3.x) it is opened in a new tab, so you are right, this is fixed. :-) 2) Left-clicking on [5], going back and middle-clicking does cause a problem, though, and now it's in issue 18806: ok. 3) Opening http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat#Genetics, scrolling to the top and middle-clicking on Genetics opens it in the same tab.
