What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.typing a character, then another and watching closely
3.
What is the expected result?
a single menu change, with all items displayed at the same time
What happens instead?
menu changes twice (quickly), and most notably the history item in the menu
appears after a delay instead of at the same time.
