Comment #15 on issue 17866 by akarun87: tab title font size cannot be changed with the desktop settings http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=17866
I had raised a bug http://crbug.com/18038 on tab fonts not applying font-hinting according to the settings. This bug fixed with this cl: http://codereview.chromium.org/164017 I notice that this change to 9pt (http://codereview.chromium.org/160663 ) by Tony was made before this fix. Things are quite different on Tab front in linux now. I have attached 2 screenshots. Each screenshot compares the effect of the fix for tab-font-hinting. The first one is with Tahoma (windows-xp's font). From the screenshot you can see that with proper hinting the tab fonts look exactly same as google chrome on windows. The second one is using the standard font on ubuntu 9.04 (Sans). There isn't so much of a notable difference (there is definitely some). I am not trying to conclude anything. Just trying to give some direction to this argument :) Attachments: Tahoma-8pt-no_smoothing-full_hinting.png 94.4 KB Sans-8pt-greyscale-full_hinting.png 133 KB -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
