Comment #33 on issue 516 by melado: Font fallback mysteriously fails for  
some Chinese characters even though there's a font Chrome uses for Chinese

I correctly see all the non-Roman characters in the samples provided in the  
comments,
as I have installed the files for these languages. However, many Unicode  
symbols are
displayed as a black dot, as it happens in this page, for example:

I am using 3.0.197.11 and Windows XP SP3. IE7, Safari 4 and FF3.5 show the  
symbols.

Is this a bug? Is it related? Should a new issue be opened?
