New issue 19281 by loonyphoenix: Chromium can't download to symlinks by default http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=19281 Chrome Version: 4.0.202.0~svn20090812r23182-0ubuntu1~ucd1 OS + version: Ubuntu 9.10 CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 32-bit window manager: Compiz Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): works Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): no symlinks in Windows) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Create a symlink to the download folder (e.g. ~/Download as a symlink to /media/data/download) 2. Options > Under the Hood > Download to location: ~/Downloads 3. Try downloading something What is the expected result? The download starts in ~/Downloads What happens instead? The "save as..." dialog starts in ~/Documents for some reason; plus, the "Ask where to save each file before downloading" checkbox doesn't work. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
