Comment #15 on issue 12488 by malcolm.snelgrove: intermittent: right clicking menus needs twice or ridiculously more clicks like open in a new tab http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=12488
I have the issue were the after right clicking, the "Open link in new tab" option is ignored as well and the right click menu stays on the screen. What appears to happen is that when Chrome is loading another tab first in the background, it refuses to open a new tab until it has progressed with the first tab. It could be that the page being loaded has Java or some other technology. If you wait for the first tab's icon to stop animating and then chose "open link in new tab" it works straight away. What myself and a lot of people want to do I suspect is this. Open up a page with a lot of links and then right click and load some of these pages in the background while we reading the first page. Chrome does not allow you to do this. I have Windows 7 build 7100, Pentium M 1.7 Ghz, 768GB, on IBM laptop T42P -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
