Comment #6 on issue 19474 by chris.hulbert: When behind NTLM firewall with multiple load balanced web proxies, Chrome asks for my username/password up to 8 times http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=19474
This is very similar bug: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=14206 Where the other guy says "keeps asking for credentials ad infinitum", i believe he's having the exact same issue, except he isn't persisting 8 times before it starts working. It's like an old car that needs a lot of work to get it started in the morning! And i think i was misleading where i said that versions prior to 3 worked fine. It was actually version 1 that worked. Version 2 didn't work, so i switched to the dev channel and use version 3 - it works but asks 8 times for credentials. When you say "can you think of anything in the NTLM code that has changed since 2-3 that might be related?" - i read somewhere that the networking code was rewritten in version 2 to make it less windows specific. I'll try the wireshark, can you confirm it won't contain my password? -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
