Comment #4 on issue 18022 by chruss2: Whole browser hangs (very occasionally) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18022
This is still happening to me (2 more times since I open this bug). The latest time I was using 3.0.198.1. The zombies are no longer there. The stack overflow messages also seem to be unrelated as there was a 12-hour gap between the last overflow and the hang. One symptom that I didn't mention/notice before: the throbber seems to get out of sync before it hangs. Even after the page is loaded, it keeps rotating (clockwise). I can go to a new page and still the throbber never stops. Then 20 minutes later everything hangs. Also, I suspect issue 18198 is not a duplicate. My case is definitely a hang (strace shows it is blocked in a write to a pipe), whereas the reporter of issue 18198 says the browser was just very sluggish. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
