New issue 20019 by meoknet: New Tab Page Alternate Logo No Longer Loading
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=20019
Chrome Version : <Copy from: 'about:version'>
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4: N/A
Firefox 3.x: N/A
IE 7: N/A
IE 8: N/A
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install a theme from the Gallery with a dark or extra busy background,
like "Baseball", "Grass", "Glow" or "Late Night"
2. Open a new tab
3. Look at the Google Chrome Logo
What is the expected result?
The Google Chrome logo should be white, like in the theme preview.
What happens instead?
The Google Chrome logo remains the same as normal and is difficult to read
against the background.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
When the Gallery was first opened, these themes used the white alternate
logo but since the default logo was updated, the white one no longer shows
up. The source code makes provision for the alternate logo and the manifest
in the themes specify that the alternate logo be used (value set to "1")
but the standard one still remains. I can't remember which build this
stated from.
