More information: - Due to the release of Server 2008 R2 I did a clean install and DID NOT migrate my chrome profile. I had the status bar back and working great for...a week? And now its gone. It does not come back if I quit and re-open the browser, or restart the PC. - When I reinstalled, I installed the latest chromium-dev as well. This also had the status bar working for a while.
