New issue 20841 by david.henderson: When trying to save https POST page
as "HTML Only", save gets cancelled
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=20841

Chrome Version: 3.0.195.6 (Official Build 22526)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use banking or other financial website, or place an order on nearly any
business website that
gives a confirmation page, on an https site.
2. Hit ^S to save the document.
3. Choose "Web Page, HTML Only" from the "Save as type" dropdown box.
4. Enter a name for the document.
5. Click "Save".

What is the expected result?

The page that you're currently viewing gets saved to disk exactly as it was
originally downloaded.

What happens instead?

Nothing gets saved; instead, the file shows up as "1, Cancelled".

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Choosing "Web Page, Complete" does save the page successfully, but it also
saves all images, style
sheets, etc. that the page uses. It also changes any URLs embedded in the
page to refer to these
local files. This is not what I want.

I have seen this effect on a number of different sites, including the
websites of two different
banks, the site where I pay my monthly rent (redacted screenshot attached),
sites where I pay utility
and service bills, and commerce sites such as Amazon.com. The only known
commonality between them is
that they all use HTTPS, and they are all POSTed pages.
