Unfortunately, there are sites that use this information for things like
detecting whether
we're in Firefox or Internet Explorer and don't bother to check for other
possibilities. In
those cases, we want to go down the Firefox codepath.
My expectation is that changing this would break a non-trivial number of
sites. Also, all
this information is available in the userAgent string already. I don't see
a benefit to
changing this, but there is a clear cost (site would break).
Is there an advantage to using these over the userAgent string?
