I have the same problem after installing kernel from Con Kolivas. $ uname -a Linux e-laptop 2.6.31-bfs211-bfuck #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Sep 11 17:45:47 MSD 2009 i686 GNU/Linux It looks like the name of the kernel is 100% right :) I'm using Ubuntu and have no folder /opt/google/... and files chrome-sandbox and chrome-sandbox-disable.
