Arg, I forgot rpm has this weird ordering. It should only remove on an
uninstall and
not on an upgrade. There's a way to check for it, I just need to look it up.
The strategy in the preinstall scriptlet has to work for multiple RPM
distros, not
just Fedora. Thus checking in both /lib (Fedora) and /usr/lib (OpenSUSE).
