What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copy a URL into the clipboard/selection
2. Middle click in a non-interactive part of the page (i.e. a blank area or
some text, but not on a link or input widget)


What is the expected result?

The URL in the selection/clipboard should load in the current tab.


What happens instead?

Nothing.


Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This has been standard behavior in Unix/Linux browsers for a long time.
Firefox makes it configurable via the middlemouse.paste option in
about:config.
