The command in #3 does not work for me, but doing this does:
Chromium 209.0 (Developer Build 26078) on OS X 10.6.1.
1. Open System Preferences --> Keyboard --> Keyboard Shortcuts
2. Add Chromium.app, type in "Prevous Tab" and bind Cmd+; (or whatever)
3. Restart Chromium (may not be necessary, but always safe)
4. Use new key binding
